We also offer a ‘one-stop’ clinic at St Richard’s Hospital in Chichester to reduce the number of appointments and you need to attend.

A single visit to the cataract clinic now combines a vision test, ophthalmologist consultation, autorefraction, biometry, topography and surgical pre-assessment.

Southlands Hospital opened a purpose-built eye care department in June 2017. Our ‘one-stop’ clinics will also reduce the time you spend in our hospital and the number of appointments they need to attend. Our unit is designed for easy access and all facilities are located at ground level.

Our outpatient department includes:

• A main waiting area for up to 85 people, including wheelchair users, providing an extra 20 seats compared to the old department at Worthing
• A dedicated waiting area for children, with baby changing facilities
• 16 multi-function consultation/examination rooms – four more than we had in Worthing
• Specialist imaging facilities
• A fluorescein angiography room
• A laser treatment room

At the Princess Royal hospital we offer the following special clinics:

• glaucoma clinics
• corneal clinics
• general ophthalmology clinics
• AMD injections (available soon in Hurstwood Park)
