Philip Hogan joined the Trust Board in January 2024 bringing extensive experience from global executive roles in professional services, business process outsourcing, Insurance, financial services, and software, and latterly as a board member in the NHS, education and voluntary sectors.
Starting his career in as an apprentice on leaving school, Philip qualified as an accountant and worked in finance roles both in the UK and the Middle East before completing an MBA at Manchester Business school in the mid 1980’s. After business school, Philip joined a global firm of management consultants working extensively across Europe and North America where he and his young family relocated to Chicago for a while. On leaving the consulting profession Philip worked in transformation leadership roles across a range of sectors, and his final executive role was as CEO of the Asia Pacific region for a leading US Financial Services software and services business and was based in Sydney .
As well as financial and commercial acumen centred around service user experience, Philip brings learning from different NHS systems through his past Non-Executive Director NHS roles in SW London.
Passionate about the opportunities for young people and ensuring diverse voices in decision making, Philip also serves on the Board of The Collegiate Trust, a multi-academy trust, and has chaired its Board of Trustees since January 2019. Prior to joining the NHS, Philip has also served as a Trustee and treasurer of a mental health and pastoral care charity serving the needs of those working in the creative industry.
