Dr Zadeh is the Clinical Lead for Cardiology at Worthing hospital.
Dr Zadeh is an interventional cardiologist and an honorary senior lecturer. He is based primarily at Worthing hospital and performs emergency life-saving coronary procedures at The Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton. His routine clinical duties include performing complex coronary procedures (including angiography and angioplasty/ PCI/ stents) as well as reporting non-invasive CT coronary angiograms, in addition to clinics, ward rounds and training junior doctors and medical students.
Reza has trained and worked in clinical and academic cardiology in UK, USA and NZ. He graduated with an honours degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBChB Hons) from The University of Manchester in 2006. He was awarded membership of the royal college of physicians (MRCP) of UK in 2009. He secured a competitive British Heart Foundation (BHF) fellowship to carry out his research in vascular biology and work towards his PhD in cardiovascular medicine. He was awarded an NIHR Academic Clinical Fellowship to pursue his research alongside cardiology training. His postdoctoral research took place at the world-renowned Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, USA. Following his return to UK he was appointed as an NIHR Academic Clinical Lecturer at the University of Manchester whilst completing his training in interventional cardiology at Manchester Royal Infirmary. He was awarded a prestigious British Cardiovascular Intervention Society (BCIS) fellowship and worked at Auckland City Hospital (New Zealand) training in complex coronary interventions. He worked as a consultant interventional cardiologist in New Zealand as well as an honorary senior lecturer at The University of Auckland for two years before returning to the UK.
Reza is passionate about research and education. He has presented talks at multiple international conferences, published papers and book chapters, and supervised both PhD and undergraduate students.

Areas of expertise and interest: Complex coronary disease, coronary intervention (angiogram and stents/ PCI), intravascular imaging (IVUS and OCT), calcium modification (intravascular lithotripsy and rotational atherectomy), microvascular assessment, CT coronary angiography (CTCA), as well as assessment and non-invasive management of chest pain, hypertension and palpitations.
